From overcoming life's toughest battles, Ashley Lauren strives to inspire every listener through soul-filled music, helping to break the norms of society, and living testimony of redemption and love.
Her music and mission personally and professionally benefit The Chicago Children's Advocacy Center, in which she serves as survivor speaker and Board Member, helping to truly mold the voice for survivors to be heard. Through benefit shows, sales, and more Ashley has and continues to make waves within the non-profit sector to raise awareness through music and testimony, helping to provide a reality of hope in healing for survivors everywhere.
Heart of the Warrior
Indie Award-nominated Singer, Songwriter, and Inspirational Storyteller, Ashley-Lauren lives to help others break free from bondage and past traumas. A survivor of abuse, mental breakdown, and suicide attempts, Ashley-Lauren strives to bring raw truth to a world that's being constantly lied to, through a spirit-led musical experience made for everyone who loves a hardcore ballad to an exhilarating pop-gospel anthem.
If Ashley isn’t on set she’s usually performing, coordinating events, coaching, and speaking; combining creativity, counsel, and mission with her partners at The Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center as a survivor speaker, combating sex trafficking and child abuse. She strives to make a difference creatively and practically, one day at a time, using her testimony of overcoming life’s toughest battles to inspire those whose shoes she once stood in.
Ashley has shared her journey in prestigious venues such as Davenports, The Elbo Room, and Underground Wonder Bar. She has also been invited to lead worship and testify at churches such as Faithworld Chicago, Faithworld Indiana, The WKND Youth Conference, and Grace Reformed Church Wisconsin. Along with sharing her story of recovery and life work on several online platforms such as, Peerstep Magazine, Authority Magazine, Thrive Global, and many more.
In this upcoming season, she will be helping to restructure and mold the voice for survivors through serving in her new position as Board Member for the very organization who helped prosecute her abuser. Utilizing her upcoming inspirational EP, story, and experience, she is going to enact the "Let the Music Heal" and "Beauty in Healing" campaign in which will empower child abuse and sex trafficking survivors on their journeys of recovery.
